Today I practiced my presentation. I made a small slide show that showed some information about my site. After my presenation I learned that I need to add some things. I need to talk more about how I fit into the problem and solution. I have need to talk more about the nutrition part. the last part I need to add to the presentation is explain how to build muscle. On my site I need to add videos to some workouts and add some more content to the nutrition tab.

This week I continued to work on my essay. I have most of the essay done and had my teachers make some edits to what I have. I still need to make my presentation. I have been so busy writing the essay and got assigned another essay in a different class that I never had a chance to work on it. Next week I will spend time working on and practicing my presentation.
In the last few weeks I have been spending all my time on writing my essay and starting my presentation. My presentation is going to be beased off my essay so by writing my essay I'm also working on my presentation. I have also been formatting my presentation and getting an idea of what I want to say and how much time I should spend talking about one subject over others. I need to finish my essay and start working on the slides for my presentation, I also want to practice my presentation a couple of times.
We are 5 weeks away from being done with school. As the year winds down we are starting to write our final essays and prepare for our final presentation. The last couple classes we have been writing our outlines, starting our presentations and writing our essays. I currently have my intro to the presentation done, and have the beginning of my essay. I will spend the last bit of classes finishing up my presentation and essay, and then revising and practicing my presentation.
Since the beginning my project has taken many turns. it started out as a website with a ton of tabs for different sports and workouts. Now it has evolved into a website with only three tabs with a workouts designed for different fitness goals. I have seen many different sources that has changed my thinking and changed how my site looks. one of the most influential sources I've had is a meeting with Mr.Yuhas. He can be considered an expert in the fitness field. He provided me with a lot of great information that helped me alter the layout of my website and the types of works I post. Now I have to add some more workouts and make the changes he suggested.
a couple weeks ago I met with Mr.Yuhas, a gym owner, gym teacher and personal trainer. I had him take a look at my website and tell me about some changes that I could make. He showed me how the current "design" my workouts are written in could be explained a clearer. Mr.Yuhas also explained how I can make my workouts better. He explained how some of the workouts I have listed can be too difficult for new gym goers. He also explained that I should have a specific rest time between sets and a specific time to perform the sets. the amount of time between sets determines how your muscles can recover, so if your going for a fat loss you'd want very little time between sets. if your doing a strength workout you would want more time so you can recover and continue to lift the heavier weight.
I have changed my website a lot since the last blog I posted. instead of having different tabs for sports, a general workout page and a nutrition page I narrowed it down. now there just 4 tabs, build hypertrophy, build strength, lose weight, and nutrition. I simplified the website to having just 3 types of workout goals and a tab for nutrition advice. the tab for hypertrophy has workouts designed for building muscle and are made for beginner "body builders". the strength tab has workouts designed to build strength and make the person bigger and stronger. the lose weight tab is designed for new gym goers and has the purpose of building a foundation and burning fat. I am now in the process of adding workouts and content to the different pages.
so far I have been continuing to add to my website. I'm still trying to get more pictures to add to the home page but pictures will be something that I'm constantly changing and adding too. I started taking a blog "course" on how to blog. it has been kind of useful in telling me what I should do but its in general terms. it doesn't specify what I should be putting on a gym website. I'm going to start looking for artifacts that may be help me specifically for a gym website. next class im going to start adding information to the tabs I made.
so far I have been building the home page of my website. I have added the tabs for mens sports and women sports. I still need to add a nutrition tab and a general workout tab. I have added a slide show with a few pictures. I want to added a few more pictures to the slideshow and to the home page. I need to do research on what I can add to the website to attract people who don't usually work out. this would be my next step along with finding and adding new pictures.
So far in my project I have been doing research on teen obesity and issues around teen inactivity. Now my research is shifting into information that will directly affect my project. I am now doing research on nutrition and specific types of food and diets. I am also starting to think of and write down different workouts. I'm also starting to think of what different sports require for training. I am also beginning to put my website together and get a skeleton of the site. Now I have to continue to work on my site and continue to research what different sports require for training and different workouts.
